Monday

Butterfly Valley, Taiwan

On the final day, I wanted to go try Taiwan's hot springs. Wanted to go Ruishui at first, but it was inconvenient. Finally, found a convenient one, with direct bus there - butterfly resort. And I didnt regret it, because the hotsprings there are super cheap and excellent - 100 NT entry fee only. Unlimited enjoyment.

This man gave me a hairdryer for my hair, while waiting for the bus.

At night, we were at first lost. Then I decided that we walked to the other night market, since we were at GuoLian street already. This night market proved to be the best night market I have ever seen in Taiwan. Most people, longest queue. You had to queue and wait for 1-2 hours for the famous stalls. This is one of the best, for seafood. A pretty girl there, taking orders. Oh I must say that the girls in HuaLien are much prettier and better dressed than those in Taipei.
Cooking the seafood, this guy is really hardworking. Im not sure if I could survive the heat everyday.

The is awesome.
Very long queue. My dad queued up for this while I went to take orders from other stalls. Save time!
Also a long queue at a fruit stall. I bought mango milk. Very nice.
Good old arcade is very popular with the teens in HuaLien.
Look how crowded this night market is. The stall on the right is called "di yi jia". I heard that someone queued for 2 hours before.
I took a queue number and asked this boss how long to wait. He replied in a bossy manner "1 hour, because you are not my relative."

Di Yi Jia. I queued for 1 hour.
At night, back at the hostel, with all the food! Omg. Lotsa fun and chats soon followed.

The next morning, I decided to make friends with this China girl in my hostel. It struck off much better than expected, and we went on a bike tour to a Japanese temple together. She collects these chops. Very interesting.

Sunday

Taroko Gorge, Hua Lien, Taiwan

2nd Day at HuaLien, we went to the famous Taroko Gorge. Many tourists stay in HuaLien a day for the Gorge only. At the top of the Gorge, we bought some fruits. This peach, is extremely sweet. We took bus to the top of the Gorge, then walked 10km dowwared, then took another bus down to the bottom (another 10km).

The plastic bag was bamboo rice. I had to store some food for the 10km walk.

We had to walk on the main road, which was dangerous, was there were oncoming cars.

We took a break here, and finished our bamboo rice.

Finally, we reached our destination - Swallow Grotto. This place, has countless swallows flying around. It is quite exciting.

We took a bus from Swallow Grotto to the bottom. After resting a while, we wanted to go see a waterfall 1km away. However, after reaching there, we found out that the waterfall has dried up.

The dried up waterfall.

This place also has giant spiders. Interesting.

The sun set of Taroko Gorge.

At night, we went to the Goose stall. The man recommended we eat this vege. Not sure what it is called. It is called some Bird's vege, a rare pick. It was good. The goose was better.

I bought this milk tea. It is 'Wulong' milk tea. Very good. (ps. the girl who sold me this is very hot and pretty)
